The Tourist Accommodation Regulatory Office (BEHT) of the Ministère du Tourisme helps ensure the consistent, rigorous, and fair application of the Tourist Accommodation Act. Its mission is to provide information, centralize expertise, and support the implementation of the legislative framework in order to promote a clear understanding of the Act and contribute to the coherent development of the tourist accommodation sector.
The BEHT works closely with delegated organizations responsible for the registration of tourist accommodation establishments, including the Corporation de l’industrie touristique du Québec (CITQ).

Le Phare des Affranchies
Le Phare des Affranchies is a non-profit organization that raises awareness among governments, organizations, and the public about the reality of human trafficking. It provides direct intervention and training. It is responsible for the Lueur program, which aims to train and equip people working in tourism-related organizations, particularly in the accommodation and events sectors, to prevent sexual exploitation and respond appropriately in the event of an incident.
