| We have been informed of the existence of a fraudulent CITQ Web site. We have heard from tourist accommodation operators saying that they have received calls from someone pretending to be one of our employees, inviting them to visit the Web site in question in order to “validate their certificate”. Once on the site, they are asked to download a file onto their computer.
This is not normal practice for the CITQ and we urge you to be cautious. There is only one official CITQ Web site which is www.citq.qc.ca. If in doubt, contact us to validate the information received. Rest assured that we take this situation seriously and that the security of your personal information is our priority. |
